Women’s Rugby at Instonians is a growing and integral part of the club’s future.
Built on the same values that have defined Instonians for over a century, our women’s section provides opportunities for girls and women at both youth and senior levels to play, develop, and enjoy rugby in a supportive, inclusive, and welcoming environment.
We are committed to expanding participation in the women’s game, creating clear development pathways from youth through to senior rugby, and ensuring women’s rugby is fully embedded within the club structure. Our programme reflects Instonians’ modern outlook — ambitious, inclusive, and community-focused — while staying rooted in a proud tradition.

Yes — we welcome players of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced player, there’s a place for you.
Not at all. Many players start rugby as adults. Coaching supports development at all levels.
Rugby boots, a gumshield (strongly recommended), a water bottle, and appropriate training kit. If you’re new and missing equipment, speak to a coach or committee member — we may be able to help short-term.
Yes — the club has an active social calendar including post-match socials, club events, and fundraising activities.
